Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios today give a preview of the new Bard class in Neverwinter, an adventurous and versatile companion. The Bard will be available in 2021, making him the first new class since the Paladin was introduced in 2016.
NeverwinterPlayers who choose the Bard class can rise to become daring heroes, combining magic with swordsmanship and using music to inspire their allies. They can even manipulate enemies and heal wounds through their thoughts.
Bards place great importance on their appearance, always have a musical instrument – such as a lute – at hand for their performances, and never leave an inn without carrying a rapier or saber at their hip.
Since bards choose between the two archetypal paths of the Songblades and the Minstrels, and thereby have access to the widest selection of spells and playstyles, Neverwinter With all the resources available, no two bards will ever be exactly the same.
- Song sounds: Charming daredevils who stylishly dispatch their opponents with swordsmanship, magic, and music. This Paragon path is suitable for players who prefer to deal damage at mid-range and in close combat, using dramatic spells and supportive songs to enhance their natural combat abilities.
- Minstrels Master musicians who use their instruments to support their allies from a distance with songs or bardic inspiration. These healers can also use their music to unleash psychic attack spells and illusions.
Regardless of the paragon path players choose, each bard possesses a whole arsenal of unique abilities that make him or her a versatile and powerful party member.
Further details about the Bard class will follow later this year.
