Originally planned for this spring, the rhythmic music track 'No Straight Roads' will now be released in spring 2020. Soldout has secured distribution rights.

This partnership means that in addition to the digital versions for PS4 and PC, No Straight Roads will now also have a physical release on PlayStation 4, with pre-orders starting soon.

“The collaboration with Sold Out gave us the chance to crank up the volume on No Straight Roads to 11. We’re excited to now offer a physical version,” says Wan Hazmar. “Postponing the release to 2020 wasn’t an easy decision, but the extra time gives us enough freedom to shape No Straight Roads exactly as we envisioned it, while staying true to our studio’s values and continuing to provide our employees with a friendly and healthy working environment. We’re very proud of the team and what we’ve achieved so far. We can’t wait to bring Vinyl City to life!”

“No Straight Roads has resonated with all of us, and we’re delighted to be able to release the game worldwide with Metronomik,” says Garry Williams, CEO of Sold Out. “It’s a truly unique title. It’s loud and hits the player head-on with novel gameplay reminiscent of Jet Set Radio, but with something new and innovative.”

No Straight Roads is an action game that places music and sound at the heart of its gameplay. The player takes on the roles of Mayday and Zuke, two members of the indie rock band Bunk Bed Junction. They fight against the mega-corporation NSR, which has seized control of Vinyl City and banned all music genres except EDM. The player explores Vinyl City's exciting districts, transforming objects into weapons with the power of music, facing colossal boss battles, and changing the world.

This is the first title from Wan Hazmer and the new studio Metronomik, founded by Daim Dziauddin, the concept artist of Street Fighter V. The game has already received the "Best Indie Project" award at the 2019 Unreal Open Day in Shanghai, as well as an award for "Best Audio" at the 2019 Taipei Game Show.

No Straight Roads will be released in German for PlayStation 4 and PC early next year.
