Sold Out and Metronomik can confirm today that 'No Straight Roads' will be released this June. A Collector's Edition will also be available, which they will present in detail.
Under the direction of Wan Hazmer, the Lead Game Designer of Final Fantasy XV, and Daim Dziauddin, the Concept Artist of Street Fighter V, No Straight Roads has become an action-adventure game that combines rhythm-based combat with a vibrant world and a successful soundtrack.
Players take on the roles of Mayday and Zuke, two members of the indie rock band Bunk Bed Junction. In the game, they fight against the mega-corporation NSR, which has seized control of Vinyl City and banned all music genres except EDM. The player explores Vinyl City's exciting districts, transforms objects into weapons using the power of music, faces colossal boss battles, and ultimately changes the world.
"No Straight Roads “It’s like no other game I’ve ever played before; it’s flashy, loud, and crazy,” says Sarah Hoeksma, Marketing Director at Sold Out Games. “With so many serious issues going on these days, we hope the quirky and original NSR can bring some more joy and funky music to gamers out there.”
The Collector's Edition includes the main game, a double-sided vinyl LP with tracks from the energetic OST, a 64-page “The Art of NSR” art book with never-before-seen artwork, and a set of official No Straight Roads-Drumsticks.
No Straight Roads will be released on June 30, 2020.
