A release of 'Overkill's The Walking Dead' is no longer in the cards for the time being, as announced by developers Starbreeze and Overkill Software. it might give.

Originally slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2017, the game will now be released in the second half of 2018. According to Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson, more time is needed to unlock the game's full potential. Given that the game was initially announced back in 2014, it doesn't appear to be a particularly high priority.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is inspired by the successful PayDay series, but with a larger game world, improved gameplay mechanics, and a disturbing story aimed directly at adult players. The game also aims to explore further storylines within The Walking Dead universe. Starbreeze recently added that they plan to focus more on co-op games in the future, seeing them as having the greatest potential. Overkill's The Walking Dead will therefore also emphasize this aspect.
