Overwatch – Almost 10 million have played the beta.

Blizzard announced today on Twitter that the open beta test for 'Overwatch' was a resounding success, with nearly 10 million players participating.

The beta test ran from May 04th to 11th and, according to Blizzard, was used by 9,7 million players. A total of 81 million hours were spent playing, which equates to 8,35 hours per player, who played a total of 37 million matches. Blizzard has not revealed the breakdown between consoles and PC.

Final animated film on the way

To get everyone in the mood for the upcoming release, the third animated short film for Overwatch, titled 'Dragons', will be released soon. It will be streamed on the official website on May 16th at 19 PM Central European Time.

Overwatch will be released on May 24, 2016.
