Today's release of Blizzard's team shooter 'Overwatch' begins with a major day patch that brings the game to version 1.02.

This one weighs in at a hefty 10111 megabytes, but it also packs a lot of features, as the official changelog reveals:

  • New map (escort) Route 66
  • New card (control) Ilios
  • New game mode: Custom game
  • New game mode: Ranked play
  • New game mode: Weekly Brawl
  • New Feature: Highlights
  • The features for introducing new players have been updated.

This means the launch version is roughly equivalent to the BETA content, as Blizzard confirmed some time ago. The next major content update is planned for June, which will include a competitive game mode. However, fans of campaigns will have to do without them in Overwatch for the time being.
