Hi-Rez Studios has announced a brand new battle royale game mode for their hero shooter called 'Paladins: Battlegrounds', which will also be available for PS4.
Paladins: Battlegrounds was designed from the ground up for team play, requiring players to cooperate to survive. Players spawn on massive maps that Hi-Rez claims are roughly 300 times larger than a typical Paladins Siege Mode map.
Along your journey, you'll find dozens of outposts filled with loot and zeppelins that drop legendary gear. Additionally, a system similar to PUBG's 'Blue Zone' is used, gradually shrinking the play area and increasing the stakes. The last team standing wins the match.
An alpha version of Paladins: Battlegrounds will be playable at the Hi-Rez Expo, while the full release is planned for later this year – free-to-play, of course.
The debut trailer gives you a taste of Paladins: Battlegrounds.
