SEGA has revealed a rough timeframe for Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven for the first time. This explains why fans will likely have to wait until 2026 or 2027.

The anticipation of Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven The project is huge – but SEGA is deliberately slowing down. According to the publisher's latest financial report, fans could have to wait until fiscal year 2027 for the two titles to be released. That sounds like a long way off, but it's more realistic than it first appears.

What the financial report really says

SEGA has included an overview of upcoming titles in a presentation slide on its medium-term planning. veröffentlichtIncluding: Persona 4 Revival, Stranger Than Heaven, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Release: September 25, 2025), a new Football Manager and Raidou Remastered, which has already been published.

Both Persona 4 Revival as well as most Stranger Than Heaven are in the column “Announced titles from the financial year 2027/3“listed. However, this does not automatically mean a release in 2027 – SEGA's fiscal year begins in April 2026. A launch in the second half of 2026 therefore remains a possibility.

What we know about the games – and what we don't

Persona 4 Revival It had been an open secret for some time. In the months leading up to the official announcement, numerous leaks and hints circulated. Now it's official, but still a long way from a final release date.

Stranger Than Heaven – formerly known as Project Century – was only recently revealed at the Summer Game Fest. The game is being developed by RGG Studio, which is primarily known for the Yakuza- and Like a Dragon-series. Details about the game itself are scarce so far, as is concrete information about its development status.

Both titles are major productions, and a development period of two years from announcement is not uncommon in the current gaming market. Accordingly, it's conceivable that SEGA will hold back on further information until well into 2025.

Who on Persona 4 Revival or Stranger Than Heaven Those waiting will need to be patient. The current release estimate fits within the usual timeframe for major titles – and as long as no official date has been set, fans shouldn't get their hopes up.

What do you think: Is the wait too long, or is it exactly the right way to go for high-quality games? Leave your opinion in the comments.
