SEGA and Atlus have postponed the release of 'Persona 5' to April 04, 2017, as announced in a recent livestream event for the game.

A brief explanation states that the developers want to achieve the best possible localization for the game worldwide, and therefore need a little more time. In return, however, they will release a free DLC that includes the original Japanese voiceover. A preview of this will be available at the upcoming PlayStation Experience in December.

Game mechanics trailer

As a small consolation, a brand-new trailer is also being shown today, which delves a bit into the basic game mechanics. The video shows aspiring troublemakers living the lives of honest students to evade authorities and watchful eyes. This includes activities like going to school, hanging out with friends, working, eating, playing sports, and much more, all to maintain the facade of an average citizen. Participating in these normal activities increases skill points in five social areas. It's also important to build relationships with confidants and fellow players, as well as with various merchants in Tokyo. This unlocks special abilities and other bonuses.

This decadent beatnik attends Kosei High School and joins the Phantom Thieves after a fateful event involving his art mentor, Madarame. Although Yusuke can be quite eccentric, he helps the Phantom Thieves out of his love for true beauty.

Makoto Niijima is a top student at Shujin Academy. But this honor student and student council president is also a member of the criminal Phantom Thieves. Perhaps it's simply her duty as student council president to uncover the group's identities and motives. However, "Codename Queen," who seems like the antithesis of a high school rebel, also possesses a strong sense of morality and will do anything to stand up for what is good and righteous. Furthermore, having an intelligent strategist on the team certainly wouldn't hurt the group.
