Both Microsoft and Sony have successfully launched their new console generations. The official Xbox Twitter account congratulated the PlayStation 5 on its successful launch.
The "console wars" usually reach their absolute peak after the release of a new generation of consoles. Even though many gamers wish this "conflict" would finally end, there are still many who passionately "fight" for their console.
To counteract this, Microsoft decided to congratulate Sony on the launch of their new console. The official Xbox Twitter account retweeted the post they had previously shared during the last console generation, congratulating Sony on the successful launch of the PlayStation 5.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer also had warm words for the console's release. Sony's Shuhei Yoshida responded with a nice comment: "Thanks Phil, we both did it!!!"
Spencer also brought a bit of calm to the console wars. He commented on the new Xbox Series X, presenting it as a service-based "ecosystem" where sales figures shouldn't be too important. What matters much more is how many players interact with cloud content or Game Pass.
Whether this will lead to the end of the "rivalry" between the two camps remains to be seen. The PlayStation 5 will be released here on November 19th.
