Sony presents the PlayStation Plus lineup for April 2026: From April 7th, “Lords of the Fallen”, “Tomb Raider I-III Remastered” and “Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream” will be available for download for all subscribers.
The three new additions cover different genres, with the Soulslike reboot "Lords of the Fallen" forming the technical and gameplay core of the month and already Leaked in advance was. The package is complemented by the restored "Tomb Raider" trilogy and the co-op action game "Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream". All titles are available to Essential, Extra, and Premium members until May 4, 2026.
Soulslike heavyweight and classic collection in detail
Released in 2023, "Lords of the Fallen" is the most prominent title. It's a dark fantasy RPG notable for its dual-world mechanic. Players navigate simultaneously through the world of the living (Axiom) and the realm of the dead (Umbral). Technically, the game was very demanding on hardware at launch; after numerous patches, performance on the PS5 has now stabilized. Compared to the 2014 original, the game world is about five times larger, and the combat system is significantly more precise.
With "Tomb Raider I-III Remastered," Sony presents a collection that is particularly relevant for history buffs and fans of classic platformer puzzles. The package includes the first three Lara Croft adventures, along with all expansions. Technically, it's a classic remaster: the geometry remains largely the same but has been enhanced with high-resolution textures and modern lighting effects. A crucial factor for gameplay is the option to choose between the classic tank controls and a modern control scheme.
"Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream" targets the multiplayer crowd. The game offers large-scale raid scenarios where up to 20 players can simultaneously battle bosses. With 21 playable characters from various story arcs of the franchise, the focus is clearly on co-op mechanics and character builds.
Between nostalgia and fan service
Looking at the current lineup compared to previous months, Sony is increasingly focusing on a mix of technically demanding current-gen titles and nostalgic content. While March, with "Monster Hunter Rise," placed a strong emphasis on grinding mechanics, April offers a significantly darker, more atmospheric single-player experience with "Lords of the Fallen."
Important for subscribers: The deadline for the titles from March (including PGA Tour 2K25 and Slime Rancher 2) ends on Monday, April 6th. Anyone who hasn't yet claimed these games must do so manually in the store by then.
I love the old Tomb Raider games from back in the day! The graphics are totally fine by me. Unfortunately, I only recently bought the game. I've often had the "luck" of buying a game and then it suddenly appears on PS Plus. 😅 I'm still thinking about parts 4-6, but I'll hold off for now! 😂 I haven't even finished 1-3 yet. But I'm super excited about this series; it brings back memories of good times with my best friend from childhood. ❤️
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered? Hahahahaha
PS5 graphics are okay, then I would buy it.
The graphics are ancient, definitely not. If it were PS5 graphics, then yes.
You're a real gamer... NOT 🤣
That's how it should be.
Graphics are more important than story and gameplay. The main thing is that the graphics are impressive 🤣
It's a remaster, so the graphics are definitely a bit better than they were on the PS1. 😅
I think the series is awesome, even the early installments, which of course didn't have today's high-end graphics. 😄
Why do we have the 5s?
Because of the graphics!
Closing argument.
