Anyone interested in PlayStation VR can now pre-order the headset again at the regular price of 399 EUR, and will receive a guaranteed delivery date by the end of December 2016.
The first batches of PlayStation VR units have been sold out for months, and pre-orders haven't been possible since then. Now, it seems they have at least a rough timeframe and are accepting pre-orders again. A statement from online giant Amazon.de reads:
"Unfortunately, we cannot currently give you an exact delivery date, however, you will receive your PlayStation VR by the end of December 2016 at the latest if you pre-order now."
Unfortunately, firm delivery dates for the first and second pre-order waves are still missing, even though the launch date has been set for about two months and is only two more months away. Anyone wanting a sneak peek at the new virtual reality can do so extensively at gamescom these days. Almost all publishers are presenting VR titles at numerous gaming stations.
The PlayStation VR package includes:
- 1 VR headset
- 1 processor unit
- 1 connection cable for VR headset
- 1 HDMI cable
- 1 USB cable
- 1 pair of stereo headphones (with a complete set of earbuds)
- 1 power cord
- 1 network connection
The PlayStation Camera, which must be purchased separately, is also required, and Sony recommends the PlayStation Move Controller for a better gaming experience.

Within a few hours, PlayStation VR was once again among the bestsellers on Amazon, suggesting that this time too, the number of headsets available will not be unlimited.
