New features of PS VR include:

• Visual precisionFor an outstanding visual experience, PS VR2 offers 4K HDR, a 110-degree field of view, and coarser rendering of the peripheral area. With an OLED display, players can expect a screen resolution of 2000 x 2040 pixels and a refresh rate of 90/120Hz.
• Headset based controller trackingWith its inside-out tracking feature, the PS VR2 tracks you and your controllers via cameras integrated into the VR headset. Your movements and viewing directions are reflected in the game without the need for an external camera.
• New sensory functionsThe PS VR2 Sense technology combines eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D audio, and the innovative PS VR2 Sense controller to provide players with a powerful sense of immersion. Headset feedback is a new sensory feature that enhances the perception of in-game actions. The feedback is generated by the vibrations of a single integrated motor, giving players a more interactive gaming experience. Players can now feel various sensations, such as a character's increased heart rate during tense moments, the rush of air from objects flying past the character, or the acceleration of a vehicle. Additionally, PS5's Tempest 3D AudioTech further enhances the immersive experience by bringing the sounds in the player's environment to life.
• Eye trackingWith eye tracking, the PS VR2 recognizes eye movements, so a simple glance in a certain direction can trigger additional interactions for the game character. Features PS VR2 Sense Controller

• Adaptive Trigger: Each VR controller (left and right) has an adaptive trigger button that provides tactile feedback when pressed, similar to the DualSense controller. If you've played games on PS5, you'll know that the L2 and R2 buttons offer resistance when you, for example, draw your bow to shoot an arrow. Applying this mechanic to VR opens up a completely new gaming experience.

• Tracking: The movements of the VR controller are tracked by the new VR headset via a tracking ring on the underside of the controller.
• Action buttons/analog sticks: The left controller features an analog stick, triangle and square buttons, a grip button (L1), a trigger button (L2), and a create button. The right controller features an analog stick, cross and circle buttons, a grip button (R1), a trigger button (R2), and an options button. The grip button can be used, for example, to pick up objects in the game.
