In a new video for 'Prey', publisher Bethesda will look back at "The Story of TranStar" today. Learn more about the dark past of the Talos I space station.
In Prey's alternate timeline, President Kennedy survived the assassination attempt. This sets off a chain of events that escalate dramatically. Kennedy accelerated his nation's space program and took control of a joint US-USSR program. He transformed a Russian satellite into a fully functional research facility designed to study extraterrestrial life. This facility evolved into Talos I, a state-of-the-art space station owned by the TranStar Corporation.
In the few years since its acquisition by TranStar, the station has become the site of morally questionable experiments, using the people on board as test subjects—people like Morgan Yu. When Morgan awakens on Talos I, the station has been overrun by an alien life form called the Typhon. Scientists had kept these beings under lock and key and studied them, aiming to enhance human capabilities. Using strange alien powers, Morgan must now survive the outbreak, uncover the Typhon's secrets, and save humanity from the looming danger aboard the station.
Prey will be released in 2017.
