The series debut 'Project CARS' by Slightly Mad, Bandai Namco and World of Mass Development can be considered a success, having now broken the 2 million mark.

“From the very beginning, we have believed that our groundbreaking approach to game financing, along with our commitment to working with consumers and listening to what they want from a racing simulation, is driving us in the right direction,” said Ian Bell, CEO at Slightly Mad Studios.

According to Bandai Namco, Project CARS is currently the market leader in simulations and eSports, with strong partners like Red Bull 5G and ESL behind it.

Meanwhile, development of the sequel is already underway, although there has been no news about it for some time. As far as is known, the developers intend to include the off-road genre in this sequel.
