Sony has revealed the final name for Project Morpheus at the Tokyo Game Show; it will be called 'PlayStation VR'.

At the same time, they presented once again the usual games and demos that are in development for PlayStation VR, including EVE: Valkyrie, Playroom VR, Final Fantasy XIV and others.

“The name 'PlayStation VR' not only expresses a completely new PlayStation experience that allows players to experience virtual game worlds as if they were physically in that world, but also shows our hope that players will feel a sense of familiarity during this experience.” said Masayasu Ito, Head of PS Product Business and VP of the Software Design Division.

“We will continue to refine the hardware in various aspects as we work with different developers, publishers and SCE Worldwide Studios to deliver content that creates exciting memories in a way that is only possible with VR.”

A launch is still expected in the first quarter of 2016. You can find more details about PlayStation VR in our current hands-on review ...
