The PS Vita has only been officially on the market for a few minutes, and already there are calls for a price reduction.
According to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe CEO, Jim Ryan, this is not currently planned, as he stated in an interview.
"It's not on our radar screen at the moment.", according to Ryan. “We have our launch plans in place, we are in the midst of a very lively pre-order campaign, the demand we are seeing in our part of the world is strong, and a price reduction, to be honest, is the last thing on our minds right now.”
Ultimately, the success or failure of the PS Vita will likely determine the price. Nintendo was also forced to lower the price of the 3DS after its weak launch, just six months later.
