PS VR2: The Foglands, Synapse, Humanity & more announced

During today State of Play Sony has once again unveiled six new games for PlayStation VR2, all of which will be released throughout the year. This confirms a previous leak, but also reveals some brand-new developments.

This includes Synapse From nDreams, a next-gen VR shooter. The title places players in a beautifully abstract world with two-handed combat that evolves Fracked's acclaimed run-and-gun gameplay, featuring expressive 1:1 telekinesis in one hand and deadly, tactile weapons in the other.

Players take advantage of this deadly combination while mastering their own fighting style to fight their way through a hostile mind world.

“Synapse is the culmination of a decade of pure VR development,” said James Shepherd, head of nDreams Studio. “Following the success of Phantom and Fracked, we challenged ourselves to push VR gameplay to new limits with the power of PS VR2. The team more than rose to the challenge, and the result is a milestone release that sets the standard for our next 10 years of innovation.”

The Foglands for PS VR2

The Foglands is also a new announcement and an atmospheric roguelike adventure where you explore new paths and uncover old secrets. Players venture into the unknown, fight monsters, loot treasure, and try to find their way back before the fog swallows them up.

Humanity

Humanity It has been announced for some time and, in addition to the PS5 and PS4, will also be released on PlayStation VR2. Players can expect a unique blend of challenging puzzles and platforming action.

Humanity It offers a varied and diverse gameplay experience where you lead a horde of people marching ever onward toward the light. You issue commands to make the masses turn, jump, push, float, climb (and more!) so that they can be redeemed.

The game promises a robust, narrative-driven story with 90 levels filled with surprising challenges, bosses, and a wide range of optional cosmetic unlockable items. An obstacle course awaits at the end, offering a chance to test your skills or challenge others.

Journey to Foundation

Journey to Foundation is also brand new and is based on the epic stories by Isaac Asimov.

In this story-rich world, players are sent on an epic journey through a region called The Periphery, where relationships and loyalties are tested, and they must decide which factions rise and fall. In this game, the future rests in the players' hands.

Green Hell VR

Green Hell VR is a tough survival simulation set in the Amazon, faithfully recreating the dangerous conditions of the Amazon rainforest. To survive, you must confront your weaknesses, gain control over hunger, thirst, and fatigue, and avoid numerous dangers, such as attacks by wild animals and tropical hazards that can strike at any time.

Since no help is available from the outside world, one must use one's skills to craft tools and weapons. One must also learn how to build shelters and heal serious wounds.

Before Your Eyes 

The final title is Before Your Eyes, an interactive afterlife experience played through blinking in real life. Here, you utilize the advanced gaze-tracking technology of the PlayStation VR2 to control the flow of the story as you relive precious memories of your family, first love, and the rise of an artistic career – all without a controller.

The headset's forward-facing camera immerses you in a completely voice-controlled story that will break your heart and explore the impossible expectations you set for yourself to deal with the worries we carry around.

Aside from the "before your eyes" feature, the games don't just look incredibly awful, they also look almost identical... Is Ryan really trying to sell potential customers a €500 VR headset with this kind of shoddy software? What's his plan if Microsoft acquires ActiBliz? Has he already spoken with Capcom and SE about acquiring this cancer (Microsoft)? Or is Mr. Ryan simply pouring all his energy and money into whining in court?

And Gran Turismo? Is that also an indie level? It's not quite finished yet, as the menu etc. hasn't been adjusted... But it still shows what's possible and what's still possible.

His plan is to save Cod; sometimes I think he's intertwined that with his own life story. If the deal goes through, I wouldn't be surprised if he has to resign; if he prevents that, he'll get free rein.
