The new PS4 Firmware 4.50 While it brought many welcome features, the overhaul of the new notification menu is currently facing heavy criticism.

Previously, everything was divided into tabs like Downloads, Messages, etc., but now everything is initially thrown into one place and displayed sequentially. While this might seem tidier at first, it can sometimes require a longer search to find what you're looking for. With another keystroke, you can at least separate downloads and uploads. Further filters are available if you customize your activity log, but this also requires some effort and will likely be inconvenient for most players.

The criticism of the new notification menu is currently so widespread that a further revision or even a return to the old design is expected. The team at PushSquare has also documented this in the following video.
