Things are getting exciting, as Sony is apparently unleashing a marketing blitz for the PS5. A first TV commercial has now been spotted on social media.

The roughly 30-second spot primarily focuses on the features of the DualSense controller and the Tempest 3D audio engine. This allows players to experience games not just on the flat screen, but to be drawn directly into them through haptic feedback and sound.

The new console's features are discovered through the eyes of a young woman and brought to life through her movements. At the beginning of the commercial, she walks across a frozen lake, feeling the cracks in the ice beneath her feet. As she senses danger, the explosive unveiling of a kraken demonstrates the haptic feedback that players can experience through the DualSense wireless controller.

With Tempest 3D AudioTech, the sounds in the video come from all directions. The woman in the ad reacts to everything she hears – whether the sounds are coming from the front, the side, above, or behind. When the main character draws her bow at the end, players can experience and feel the tension of the bowstring thanks to the adaptive triggers of the DualSense wireless controller.

New PS5 info coming soon?

The fact that the ad has surfaced so early could be further evidence that Sony will soon reveal comprehensive launch information about the PS5, including the price and pre-orders. The next possible opportunity would be the digital gamescom next week.

There isn't much time left before the rumored November launch anyway. Just three months, significantly less than with the PS4 back then, to finally get things sorted out.

UpdateSony has now released the full-length global commercial called 'Play has no Limits', which will likely be seen everywhere soon, either in its entirety or in parts.

Sony comments on this:

"In our first global digital commercial for the PS5 console, the new console's features come to life through the eyes and movements of a young woman. It begins with her walking across a frozen lake, feeling the ice crack beneath her feet. As the character senses danger, the sudden, explosive emergence of the Kraken from the ice's surface provides the haptic feedback you can experience through the DualSense wireless controller for the PS5 console."

The sound then comes from all directions, with the central character reacting to everything they hear – whether from the front, the side, above, or behind them. The sound is presented by the PS5 console's Tempest 3D AudioTech. In the final shot of the commercial, when the main character draws their bow: the tension of the bowstring is a sensation you also feel. This is made possible by the adaptive triggers of the DualSense wireless controller.

We are absolutely thrilled with these features and can't wait for you to dive deeper into the world of games with the PS5 console and DualSense wireless controller in your hands.”

Additionally, there is on the official PlayStation Blog Here are a few more game previews demonstrating how the DualSense controller's features can be used. More information about the PS5 will follow in the coming weeks.
