EmberLab's acclaimed PS5 exclusive title will be released for Xbox Series X|S in August and will receive additional exclusive content.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits was originally released in September 2021 for PS5 and PS4, captivating many players with its Pixar-inspired visuals. The adorable Rots truly won over players. It was also the debut game from EmberLab, who are now thrilled to bring it to an even wider audience.
Players can look forward to an action-adventure game that combines a captivating narrative with exploration, puzzle-solving, and fast-paced combat. "Kena: Bridge of Spirits" offers a journey of self-discovery as Kena, a young spirit guide, restores balance to an ancient village in a once-thriving environment.
Josh Grier, Chief Operating Officer at Ember Lab, said:
“We are excited to bring Kena’s story to a new audience on Xbox platforms. As our debut game, Kena means a lot to everyone at the studio and the team is looking forward to sharing Kena’s journey with more players – we truly hope everyone enjoys getting to know Kena and her Rot friends!”
The Xbox version of "Kena: Bridge of Spirits" includes the Anniversary Update, which contains Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena outfits, and accessibility features. It also includes the New Game+ option from the start, allowing players who have completed the game to restart Kena's journey with all her previously unlocked abilities, upgrades, outfits, items, etc., as well as redesigned and more challenging combat encounters.
Additionally, a physical "Kena: Bridge of Spirits – Premium Edition" will be released and will be available for pre-order soon. It also includes...
- Official Digital Soundtrack
- Retail Exclusive Sticker Sheet
- Unique Kena Staff
- Golden Red Skin
- Xbox Exclusive pirate-themed red hats
"Kena: Bridge of Spirits" will be available for Xbox Series X|S starting August 15, 2024.
I got it on sale; it's a really great game. It's just a shame the starting price of €70-80 ruled it out for me because Sony insisted that even the smallest AAA game had to cost €80. And it's a shame there's no German voice acting, considering who the target audience for the game was supposed to be.
I would be happy to see a sequel. I found the game quite entertaining.
