After the back and forth regarding PS5 pre-orders, retailers can now assure customers that all existing pre-orders are safe and are expected to be delivered on launch day.
In the last few days There have been occasional reports of further cancellations, but these only referred to duplicate orders. Customers at Media Markt and Saturn were affected. However, retailers like GameStop are currently assuring customers that all pending pre-orders have now been correctly processed.
GameStop's Marketing and E-Commerce Director, Robert Pimpl, commented on this matter once again. to speak, who says:
"Every customer who pre-ordered a PS5 from us will receive it at the promised time."
Of course, GameStop also reserves the right to adjust any conspicuous duplicate orders in consultation with the customers. The crucial point, however, is that anyone with a pre-order can expect delivery on the stated date of November 19, 2020. Similar assurances have been made by Media Markt, Saturn, Otto, and of course, Amazon. To be absolutely certain, it's best to double-check your current pre-order status.
Pre-orders for the launch are no longer possible.
Whether there will ever be another Pre-order option for the PS5 launch GameStop isn't expecting a release either. Like Media Markt, Saturn, and Otto, they also report that all pre-order units are sold out.
However, they are in close contact with Sony to secure additional stock. This is unlikely to happen before launch, though. The launch day itself will be interesting, as will whether Sony has even planned any consoles for brick-and-mortar stores. Currently, it doesn't look like they will.
