Approximately one year after the attack on the PlayStation Network, many users are still hesitant to store their credit card details on Sony's servers.

Electronic Arts executive Peter Moore said this at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2012 Global Technology Conference. He also believes that traditional retail will continue to play an important role because customers are still wary of digital platforms like the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

Many EA customers still don't own a credit card, a situation significantly exacerbated by the PSN hack, and therefore prefer to buy their PSN cards and other items from brick-and-mortar stores. According to Moore, if retailers continue to evolve and offer not only physical media but also digital media, they will continue to play a very strong role in this business.
