PUBG Corp. is enabling crossplay in 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting today, with patch 4.3 now available.
For now, crossplay is only available via the test servers, which is why participation is emphasized as particularly important. The developer writes:
"We're thrilled to bring Update 4.3 to the test servers! Your participation is especially important during this test phase, as we're testing the long-awaited crossplay feature. We're incredibly excited to unite our two console platforms in a single matchmaking pool, and we look forward to your feedback and reports. You can also try out the new survival-based progression system, which we've dubbed 'Survival Mastery', the new shotgun called 'DBS', and of course, our quality-of-life improvements and numerous bug fixes."
