As announced, Quantic Dream has released a new tech demo showcasing the innovative developer's vision for the future.

The new technology will likely be used in their upcoming project, which is not represented in this tech demo. Rather, the aim is to showcase where Quantic Dream believes video games are headed in the near future. The footage shown is of a prototype running in real time on a PlayStation 3.

The video shows the state of the new technology a year ago and roughly 50 percent of the features implemented so far. The 'Kara' project aims to showcase a new approach to motion capture, known as full-performance capture. This allows for the simultaneous animation of body movement, voice, and facial expressions. Most studios currently use technologies that perform these actions separately.

According to Quantic Dream, the new technology brings the concept of working in a game studio closer to working on a film set.
