Insomniac Games has now clarified once again that it Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will only be available on PlayStation 5.

Previously, several titles were announced as cross-gen, raising concerns about whether this would allow developers to fully utilize the potential of the new hardware or whether cross-gen compatibility would hold them back. This was the case with... Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart not given. The same applies, by the way, to the Demon's Souls Remake, about which there have been conflicting statements in the meantime. This title, too, will only be available on PlayStation 5.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart It has been in development for quite some time and lets players explore exotic worlds and visit places they've never been before. This is only possible thanks to the power of the PS5 – the number of objects in the world and the things to explore, the enemies in the environment, the effects, etc., as previously stated.

Seamless travel across dimensions is only possible thanks to the new SSD, which allows for the creation of worlds and the projection of players from one location to another at near-instantaneous speed. This is an incredible game-changer in terms of what's now possible from a gameplay perspective. Levels load so quickly that traveling feels completely natural.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Released in 2021.
