Whether the Resistance series will ever continue is currently very uncertain, as Insomniac's CEP Ted Price stated in the Reddit forum. expressed.

The rights to the franchise belong to Sony, which has the sole decision-making power over whether or not another game will be produced. They can't simply return to the brand themselves, even though they say never say never. They've learned that lesson by now. Meanwhile, Insomniac Games is no longer developing exclusively for Sony, but is currently working for EA on the co-op shooter FUSE, which will be released at the end of May. The PS Vita spin-off, 'Burning Skies', was also developed by a different studio.

Price's favorite game to develop was Resistance: Fall of Man, while in terms of gameplay, the third installment was his favorite.
