RIGS – The Heroes / Classes in the Spotlight

This week, the official PlayStation Blog takes a closer look at the VR shooter 'RIGS', starting today with an introduction to the heroes / classes in the game.

In total, you have four different classes to choose from: Tempest, Sentinel, Hunter, and Mirage, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, as usual. The Sentinel, for example, is extremely heavily armored, making it ideal for melee attacks. Furthermore, each class has unique jumping mechanics, which are detailed below.

Sentinel

  • Height: 6 meters
  • Top speed: 79 km / h
  • Max. melee damage: 4.000
  • Jump: Slam – Charge up to jump higher. A fully charged jump creates a shockwave on impact, damaging and disorienting opponents.

Hunter

  • Height: 3,4 meters
  • Top speed: 95 km / h
  • Max. melee damage: 3.600
  • Jump: Standard – Equipped with normal jumping ability.

The Mirage,

  • Height: 5,5 meters
  • Top speed: 82 km / h
  • Max. melee damage: 3.600
  • Jump: Double jump – Once in the air, the Mirage can use a boost and jump a second time.

Tempest

  • Height: 2,5 meters
  • Top speed: 74 km / h
  • Max. melee damage: 3.600
  • Jump: Vertical Hover – Hold to hover in the air
