In June of this year, Crytek announced their first PlayStation VR title, 'Robinson: The Journey', for which the first official trailer can be seen today.
In Crytek's Robinson: The Journey, players are pioneers who crash-land on a mysterious planet and set out to explore its many secrets. The title heavily leverages the virtually limitless potential of PlayStation VR, encouraging players to explore the breathtaking world around them and experience a completely new level of freedom. The collaboration between Sony and Crytek also highlights the versatility of CRYENGINE for other developers looking to bring their ideas to life on powerful VR hardware.
Crytek's Director of Production David Bowman says: “PlayStation VR is the perfect platform for Robinson: The Journey. Our previous work with Sony has shown that they want to offer the most immersive and unique VR experiences for the home that a gamer could imagine. And we are working hard to achieve exactly that goal with Robinson.”
The release date for Robinson: The Journey is currently unclear.
