EA and developer Final Strike Games launch today Season 1 in their new arena shooter Rocket Arena, which is being celebrated with an official launch trailer.
Each season lasts approximately 3 months and includes a new playable character, limited-time events, game modes and playlist rotations, a new Blast Pass, a new ranked season, and much more. Season 1 tells the story of the Rocket Championship and its heroes. Players will learn all about the characters' motivations, personalities, backgrounds, and interests. Also included in this season: the new hero Flux, the first major in-game event, new maps, and daily and weekly challenges. Additionally, there are more than 10 new playlists for the Rocket Arena-Modes: Social, PVE and ranked.
Season Highlights
- New character: Flux is a true prodigy and top of her class at Engine Academy, Crater's boarding school for geniuses. She is enthusiastic and exuberant. Her favorite thing to do is collect data, which she then uses to her advantage.
- New maps & limited-time events: The "Paradise Destruction" event begins on August 12. During the event, players can enjoy special challenges, six new playlists, tropical cosmetic items, unique unlockable items, and two new maps permanently added to the game. Players will discover the fog-shrouded Lagoon of Doom, home to endless waterfalls, and the pirate shipwrecks in the Grand Harbor. The "Megadon Gone Astray" event starts in September, offering even more challenges and new playlists. Players will also experience the shaky tracks in all of Crater on the new "Kayo Canyon" map.
- Mythical Events: Season 1 features two Mythic events. Each will include a new Mythic outfit, a Skyline Totem icon, new playlists, and exciting information about characters and regions.
- Ranked matches in Season 1: All preseason ranks will be reset at the start of Season 1 due to new variations of special map and mode combinations.
- Blast Pass: The Season 1 Blast Pass includes free and paid tiers where players can earn many customizable items and rocket fuel. There are a total of 117 rewards, including 33 unique outfits.
