Developer Vatra Games has once again emphasized that they have learned from the mistakes of Silent Hill Homecoming and want to do everything better with Downpour.

The game has moved further away from being primarily action-oriented, with fewer battles and a greater emphasis on exploration and a slower pace. While combat will still occur, it's often more advantageous to simply run away from enemies, especially those who are stronger than you.

Another feature that's been removed is the absence of returning enemies from previous installments in the series. Every boss is directly connected to Murphy's backstory and has a special significance. Therefore, you'll have to do without the "hot" nurses or Pyramid Head this time around.

Silent Hill Downpour will be released on February 23, 2012.
