Konami reports success for Silent Hill 2: 2 million sales and 6 million players. The horror returns stronger than ever. All the details!

Konami has achieved a surprising commercial success with "Silent Hill f," selling over two million units worldwide. While the franchise was considered a financial gamble for years, the current figures from Japan and the success of the "Silent Hill 2" remake prove that the brand is firmly back on track.

"Silent Hill“marked a radical break with its Western-influenced predecessors and relocated the horror to 1960s Japan. That this bold move has been rewarded is demonstrated not only by the two million units sold since September 2025, but also by the enormous response at the Game Awards.”

Ryukishi07 has managed to transport the classic Silent Hill DNA – the feeling of helplessness and the psychological depth – into a completely new setting. Players seem to embrace the "beauty in horror" conveyed through kera's design and Akira Yamaoka's soundtrack.

"Silent Hill f" is not a short-lived trend, but rather the confirmation of a new standard for the series. The combination of high critical acclaim and solid sales figures secures further projects. The brand has been rehabilitated.

Now we finally need parts 2, 3 and 4 as remasters for PC or console, Homecoming and Downpour again as remasters with 60 fps and high-res textures, and a collection with Origins and Shattered Memories.

And the remakes of 1, 3 and 4 are great too.

In parallel, a new installment is released every few years, like Townfall now.
