Sony is apparently releasing another one The Last of Us Back. According to a report from a well-known insider on Deallabs, the special edition will cost a hefty €119,99 or $109,99. At that price, one would expect more than a simple reissue – but what exactly is in the box? Pre-orders are said to be available soon, but what fans will actually be able to order remains a mystery.

The most likely candidates are "The Last of Us Part I" or "The Last of Us Part II"—or perhaps some kind of bundle with both titles? Maybe a Director's Cut or an Anniversary Edition with brand-new bonus material? The rumor mill is churning.

Timing is everything – and this is suspiciously good.

A re-release could therefore perfectly complement the hype surrounding the TV series. Perhaps there's even more to it – a teaser for "The Last of Us Part III"? Rumors of a sequel persist, even though Naughty Dog hasn't officially confirmed anything.

Neil Druckmann's cryptic words – hope or disappointment?

Neil Druckmann, the mastermind behind the series, was recently honored after The Last Of Us Part III was asked and gave a typically vague answer: "Don't expect there to be more of The Last of Us will be.” But before the fan base collectively fell into a state of shock, he downplayedEach game was developed as if it were the last. A sequel was therefore never guaranteed – but also never ruled out.

Whether this mysterious special edition is simply a stylish collector's item or a hint at an even bigger announcement remains to be seen. The world of The Last of Us is far from over.

Ah yes, Druckmann says Joel was right, aha, a very late realization after killing off the quintessential character of the franchise.
Pointless guy, and incidentally, this won't boost part 2 sales figures either.

Lol, so again, the Days Gone remaster isn't getting a physical version in April, but the Last of Us LOL Edition is getting it for the umpteenth time? It's starting to feel like Days Gone is Joel and The Last of Us is Abby with the golf clubs.
You couldn't make this up.
