Bandai Namco today shows the first gameplay trailer for Haomaru from Samurai Shodown, who will soon make a guest appearance in 'SoulCalibur 6'.
Similar to Mitsurugi, Haohmaru relies on upward sword strikes; however, Haohmaru can unleash a small whirlwind as a projectile and also deploy a whole barrage of upward sword strikes. The crossover between SoulCalibur and Samurai Shodown couldn't be a better fit.
Further guest appearances will include 2B from NieR: Automata. Four new Creation Packs are also planned, offering unprecedented customization options. On the gameplay side, new mechanics will be introduced, including Soul Attack and Resist Impact, and the Guard Gauge system will be reworked.
- Soul Attack, a powerful blow that can influence the outcome of the fight.
- Resist Impact, the ultimate defense strategy that blocks every attack, including those that currently cannot be blocked.
Haohmaru from Samurai Shodown and other characters will join the fight as part of Season 2.
