At Tennocon 2023, Digital Extremes presented the first extensive gameplay demo of soul frame shown, the next big project after WarframeParts of it are strongly reminiscent of Ghost of Tsushima and elements that can be made from Zelda who knows.
In the new video, which lasts just over 30 minutes, you explore the game world of soul frame, some dungeons, boss fights, and more. At one point, a mini-game is triggered, similar to what you might find in Ocarina of Time could experience this while the combat system itself was on Ghost of Tsushima It is remembered. Furthermore, it seems that they are distancing themselves from the complicated progression system. Warframe to take that in soul frame is replaced by souls and pacts.
Otherwise, they remain very reserved with details about the game, which is in development for current consoles and PC. At the time... announcement The only thing that was said was:
“With Soulframe’s worldbuilding and thematic elements, we really want to return to our childhood favorites and draw inspiration from the artful fantasy worlds we fell in love with growing up,” said Soulframe Creative Director Geoff Crookes. “Our team is really interested in this idea of nature and humanity clashing, and we will be exploring many of these themes through our own lens as we play with ideas of restoration and exploration.”
There is currently no target release date for Soulframe, which, judging by the current gameplay demo, appears to be in pretty good shape. This is noteworthy because, according to Digital Extremes, full production only started last year.
A possible release window is therefore unlikely to be realistic before 2024.
