Ubisoft today released the first major content update for 'Space Junkies' on PlayStation VR, which includes a new map, a new game mode and more.
To celebrate the release of this new content, Space Junkies is now available at a 60% discount in all digital stores. The new Season #1 Episode 1 update introduces a variety of new content and features based on player feedback:
- A new game mode"Final Cut," in which players only receive one weapon at a time. After each kill, they climb the weapon ladder and must get another kill to reach the final weapon, the Double Solar Sword!
- A new map "The Orbital Mine". This abandoned mine is full of rocks, pipes, and tunnels that force players to go vertical and run for cover as lava flows around them.
- A new character skin from the Quantic Calamari family, known as the "Squid"".
- A new set adjustments.
Space Junkies will continue to introduce new content through regular updates in the coming months, including new game modes, characters, maps, and many more surprises. New content will be released seasonally, with each season containing four episodes over a 16-week period.
The next content update, Season #1 Episode 2, is expected to be released in May. Additionally, PlayStation Move and Smooth Rotation support will be introduced in a special update in mid-May.
