Hazelight fans can look forward to a spectacular new adventure! The developer, which has achieved great success with co-op hits like "It Takes Two" and "A Way Out," is apparently about to unveil a new project. According to a trusted insider, the game bears the promising name "Split Fiction"—and the title alone suggests that the game follows the studio's credo of delivering cooperative adventures.
Hazelight confirms co-op game
Recently, Josef Fares, the creative mind behind Hazelight, on X Hazelight posted a cryptic message. He spoke of a "brand new IP" and deliberately left the name incomplete: **** ******N. What exactly is hidden behind these placeholders is officially still a secret. But the teaser image that Hazelight later released offers exciting clues: It shows a script full of notes, and the word "Co-op" is prominently displayed. The message is clear – the next Hazelight game remains true to cooperative multiplayer.

Split Fiction – the name of the mysterious game?
The latest surprise, however, came from Billbil-kun, a data miner who has accurately predicted many leaks in the gaming world. According to him, the game is called "Split Fiction" and will offer an innovative use of the split screen. Hazelight's teaser even shows sketches depicting different screen layouts. Fans can therefore assume that the split screen is not just a visual gimmick, but will once again play a central role in the gameplay. A release date doesn't seem to be set yet, but according to the sketch, it may have already been internally postponed.
Meanwhile, the developer is pleased with the continued success of "It Takes Two" (our review), which recently acquired the brand of 20 million games sold has broken through.
