Paramount recently stated that Star Trek: The Video Game is not just a simple licensed game, but an ambitious project that will appeal especially to fans.
However, this is not intended to be the only spin-off, and further plans are already being made, as Brian Miller from Paramount stated.
“Star Trek has been around for five decades and will certainly outlive us all,” said Miller. “We would love to make more Star Trek games. We’re really excited about the next generation of gaming and feel that Star Trek will be a big part of it. Plus, there are still many untold stories of Kirk and Spock that need to be told.”
Star Trek: The Video Game will be released on April 26, 2013.
