In connection with the current quarterly report, Electronic Arts has revealed the release date for 'Star Wars: Battlefront II', which will be released in autumn 2017.
EA's CFO Blake Jorgensen mentioned this date, telling investors that the continuation "within one year from now" will be released. Furthermore, Star Wars: Battlefront II is said to be a "an extremely deep and engaging experience" to become something you work incredibly hard on.
The developers aim to create even larger and better worlds, and locations from the new films, including Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will also be featured. Whether there will be a true single-player experience this time around is currently unknown. Star Wars: Battlefront II will likely be primarily a mission-based multiplayer game.
Single-player and story-driven game fans will likely have to wait a while longer for the game from Visceral Games, which has been in development for some time. Further details are still lacking.
