In a statement some time ago, EA boss Andrew Wilson explained:
“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is pure blockbuster entertainment, rooted in a timeless, culture-defining IP. Our team at Respawn launched this title to great acclaim and commercial success. Millions of players have already engaged with the game, making this one of the biggest events in the Star Wars galaxy this year.”
How does Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fare?
In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Cal Kestis embarks on a perilous journey to stop the Empire and an ancient power. With new lightsaber techniques, powerful Force abilities, and a host of new planets and characters, the game offers an even more intense and diverse experience than its predecessor.
In our then Review of Star Wars Jedi Survivor We came to the following conclusion:
"At the end of the day, the second installment does exactly what it's supposed to do – tell an interesting story with a lot of heart, create fluid, varied combat, motivate the player to explore and develop, and, most importantly, convey the soul of 'Star Wars'. Star Wars: Jedi Survivor doesn't feel like a cash grab or a consequence of success; this is a game by Star Wars fans for Star Wars fans. A gift I gladly accept, and so, just as I was looking forward to this installment, I'm already looking forward to the next one, despite the minor and major flaws in the current one."
Since then, several updates have been released, primarily addressing the technical issues.
I didn't think it was possible because of the SSD, but it's being made possible because of a lack of funds. A Dead Space remake would also be good for boosting sales.
It's also not possible to port the games to last-gen devices in the same form. Textures load more slowly, and loading times are either imperceptible or significantly shorter.
The layout of the Dead Space remake is a 1:1 match to the original. If the PS3 and Xbox 360 could display it, a PS4/One should be able to as well with more RAM.
