Electronic Arts appears to be working on another game in the Star Wars universe after 'Star Wars: Battlefront II' and Respawn's Star Wars project, this time designed as an open world game.

This suggests from current job postings The developer is advertising for a Lead Online Engineer at EA's Vancouver Studio. The ad states:

“Lead a team to deliver online features for a Star Wars Open World project.”

While further details about the game are completely lacking, the job description for the position involves the implementation of online features such as matchmaking, asynchronous interactions, live services, server-host migration, etc.

It wouldn't be the first time EA has pursued an open-world Star Wars game. Back in 2013, there were hints of such a project, but nothing has been heard about it since.

We will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.
