Not even released yet, Capcom is already announcing the first major updates for the 'Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection', which will also bring welcome new content.
The Day One Update will also include a Versus and a Training mode, both added based on user feedback. Capcom describes the two modes as follows:
Versus mode
All twelve Street Fighter titles in the collection include a local two-player versus mode. Using your chosen Street Fighter title, you select the stage you want to play in versus mode, and the game shows you which character is associated with each stage. After each match, you have the option to start a rematch or decline, allowing you to host your own mini Street Fighter tournament against friends.
training mode
As part of the collection, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike can be played online. Therefore, these four titles will feature a robust training mode where you can practice combos and setups for your chosen character. Improve your skills, compete against other players online, and claim victory.
The collection will also offer numerous training options that go beyond the original arcade versions. This is designed to help you train even more efficiently and become an even better Street Fighter. Universal options available across all four titles include a toggleable damage meter and the option to display your own inputs. You can also assign commands to the dummy.
In addition, each title within the collection has its own training modes, which are then individually tailored.
The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be released on May 29, 2018.
