Unknown Worlds today confirmed the release date for Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero for this coming May. The underwater survival adventure will be released for current and last-gen consoles.
Subnautica invites players to explore a richly detailed underwater world. But this world is not without its dangers: After crash-landing on a mysterious planet, players must scour this alien ocean for vital resources while simultaneously trying to avoid the terrifying creatures that inhabit its deepest and darkest corners.
“Subnautica: Below Zero has grown steadily in Early Access based on community feedback, and we are very excited to finally release the full sequel to Subnautica,” said Ted Gill, President of Unknown Worlds. “After two years of implementing community feedback and adding new features and content, we are excited to welcome players back to the depths of planet 4546B for a completely new experience on PC and console.”

Set some time after the original Subnautica, Below Zero challenges you to survive a catastrophe at an alien research station on Planet 4546B. Craft tools, scavenge for supplies, and unravel the next chapter in the Subnautica story.
Subnautica and Subnautics: Below Zero are available from May 14, 2021, including the free upgrade for owners of the PS4 version.
