A sneak peek is available today in an interview with Epic Games, where they talk about…really big“Announcements speak.”
In it, the show host said that a small selection of games can always make a big difference, with the line-up remaining unpredictable until the last minute.
"As I always say on these shows, one or two games make all the difference. As a producer, it's a challenge because sometimes you have those games, sometimes you don't, sometimes you think you have them and they get cancelled or changed."

A handful of real highlights
For the moment, Keighley said, they have a handful of announcements prepared that will be really big. In concrete terms, they're talking about three to four games. The interview continues:
“While Keighley is always cautious in his assessments of the show, he said there are currently three or four things that will be ‘quite big for this audience’.”
Another new feature this year is that there will be a live audience on site, as well as developers on stage to talk about some of the games in the show. That's exactly what you'd expect. from the Sony shows, which were most recently recorded entirely digitally and without an audience.
"I think the Summer Game Fest offers a chance to talk to the developers, showcase games, and provide some more context around the games. We don't give out any awards at the show. It's really just a showcase for games."
