Supermassive Games, the developers behind Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures, are working on their own game in Dead by Daylight-Universe. This was revealed today in light of the roadmap.

Accordingly, a [something] is being created here. new interactive single-player story game, which is an intense narrative experience in Dead by Daylight-universe where life and death are at stake. Presumably, the classic Supermassive Games formula will be used here.

“We have worked hard to tone down the tension, agency, and branching narrative of a Supermassive game, along with the mythology of Dead by Daylight, to create an intense narrative experience filled with powerful life-and-death choices. Our game will be set outside the Entity's realm and will tell the story of a new cast of characters that players will follow for an unprecedented experience beyond the fog.”

Another game is also being developed by the team at Midwinter Entertainment, which is also located in Dead by Daylight-Universe. This multiplayer PvE game will deal with themes such as greed, with teams of up to four players able to conquer a strange new corner of the Entity's realm.

“Our vision is to create a multiplayer PvE experience where up to four players can team up, enter another realm of the entity, and fight against a variety of deadly enemies, rather than competing against each other. This project is still in its very early stages. We are really excited about what we are doing and can't wait to share more about it over time.”

Dead by Daylight Chapter 28: End Transmission

For the 7th anniversary of Dead by Daylight Details were also revealed for Chapter 28: End Transmission, which launches on June 13th. Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage has been brought on board for this chapter.

With a new map called Toba Landing, set on a mysterious and terrifying planet, the chapter takes players to a unique biome with menacing flora and an atmosphere unlike anything on Earth. The latest killer, the Singularity, is a monstrous fusion of restructured organic matter and machine parts, striving to become the perfect life form. Hope now rests on the new survivor, Gabriel Soma, a talented technician whose determination once helped him escape the Singularity.

“We are excited to take the fear of the unknown to new heights with End Transmission,” explains Dave Richard, Creative Director of Dead by Daylight. “With this new chapter, we are expanding the boundaries of the Entity’s reach and exploring dark themes of advanced technology, and I think this will be a very frightening experience for all fans.”

Nicolas Cage takes on one of his deadliest roles to date, playing another survivor in Dead by Daylight who must fight for his life in the Entity's realm. More information will be available here from July 05th.
