With a slight delay, the Dead Space-inspired horror shooter 'Syndrome' from BigMoon Entertainment will be released in October for PlayStation 4 and PSVR.

Set aboard and within the claustrophobic corridors of the SPS Valkenburg, an exploration vessel for distant space expeditions, Syndrome relies on psychological and physical sci-fi horror as you creep through the desolate spaceship and work through the catastrophic events that led to its demise.

According to BigMoon, Syndrome aims to return the genre to its roots. As a player, you awaken from a deep cryogenic sleep on a lonely spaceship, confused and disoriented, to discover what happened to the former crew. Most of them appear to be dead or have changed, leaving you to uncover the events on board and find a way out of this claustrophobic confines. To survive this nightmare, which lurks behind every shadow, you must explore every nook and cranny of the ship, locate the last remaining weapons, move as quietly as possible, and avoid enemies whenever possible.

With support for PlayStation VR and other VR systems, you also face an endless survival mode in which you are trapped in a part of the spaceship, where you have to defend yourself against enemies and look out for weapons, medipacks and key cards.

Syndrome will be available on disc and digitally from October 06th.
