Bandai Namco today released further bits of information about the story and gameplay in 'Tales of Berseria', including details about a new special attack and the character progression system.
The two new characters, Oscar Dragonia and Teresa Linares, are both Praetors of the Abbey, the exorcist organization. Oscar takes his calling very seriously, yet treats the demons with great compassion. His older half-sister Teresa is also known as the 'Frost Queen' because she carries out her missions without any emotion.
Details about the story
Velvet encounters Dyle, a lizard demon who was a member of the Shipping Guild, defected, and witnessed the outbreak of the Daemonblight. He is now being pursued by the Abbey. The Liberation LMBS (Linear Motion Battle System) is expanded with a completely new attack. 'Mystic Artes' is a powerful attack that inflicts massive damage on opponents and is accompanied by a cool animation. Thanks to the character progression system, they can further improve their equipment skills. Three different equipment skills can be activated: the 'Master Skill', the 'Enhancing Bonus', and the 'Random Skill'.
Tales of Berseria will be released in early 2017 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
