Although support for Techland's survival horror title 'Dying Light' is far from over, they already have ideas for a potential sequel, but these are so ambitious that they probably cannot be realized on the current generation.
As producer Tymon Smektala said at gamescom last week expressedIt's far too early to talk about a sequel to 'Dying Light' anyway. Nevertheless, they already have some initial ideas, but first they need to see if they're even feasible.
“We also need to verify whether our concepts are really as good as we think, so we need prototypes first. Currently, we can't talk about anything, but on the other hand, there are a lot of things in our studio that we're testing, prototyping, and experimenting with. I think we have a clear idea of what we can do with the IP and the Dying Light universe, so you can look forward to some great things from us.”
With over five million copies sold of the franchise's debut, a sequel is practically guaranteed. Currently, however, work is primarily focused on the expansion pack.The Following', which will be published in the coming months.
