What has been suspected for months, publisher Bandai Namco has today made official, announcing 'Tekken 7' for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR.

Tekken 7 is built on Unreal Engine 4 and boasts stunning graphics that elevate the level of detail and vibrancy of the fighting game genre to a new level. This realistic presentation allows players to fully enjoy the grand finale of the conflict between the Mishima Zaibatsu and the G Corporation, as the darkest secrets of the cursed Mishima family are revealed.

Tekken 7 isn't just about family feuds, world domination, and darkness; it's also about balanced 1-on-1 combat, skillful martial arts, and above all, fast-paced gameplay. Tekken 7 allows players to experience the popular combat system—created, improved, and expanded by the "Project TEKKEN" team—in a whole new way.

"It's coming. I told you to wait", Katsuhiro Harada, head of Project TEKKEN. "For our 20th anniversary, our TEKKEN brand achieved massive success in both the arcade sector with TEKKEN 7 and in mobile gaming with TEKKEN CARD TOURNAMENT. Our goal is to continue this successful path and explore new possibilities by releasing our games on home systems." so says Hervé Hoerdt, Vice President Marketing & Digital at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe.

Further information regarding languages, characters, and gameplay mechanics will be announced over the next few months. As a small bonus, here's the first trailer for the game.
