Telltale Games developers seem to have made a real blunder this week, apparently being too careless in their choice of a photo for a cutscene in their game. The photo depicts a corpse, whose authenticity they apparently didn't realize.

The image shows the body of Russian diplomat Andrey Karlov, who was shot dead in a Turkish TV studio this year in front of live cameras. The scandal surrounding his death was huge at the time, and many are still outraged and wondering how the image could have made it into the game.

Originally taken by photographer Burhan Ozbilici, the image quickly found its way online, where it was presumably reused by a graphic designer without much thought. Telltale Games has since responded by releasing an update to the game that removes the image. one regrets It acknowledges that this incident occurred and promises that further internal measures will be taken to ensure greater care in the future.
